The files in this directory (permalinks) function as deep links that are intended to be "forever" files, and are used by QR codes on Infinity packaging, printed literature, customer tattoos, etc. Each contains a redirect. If the target URL changes, the file in this directory should be updated. If the target becomes obsolete or is removed for any reason, the file in this directory should be changed to contain a notice that the requested document is no longer available. Although they may be referenced by the full URL such as http://sviguns.com/permalinks/foobar.html, the preferred presentation of the link on a QR code is http://doc.sviguns.com/foobar. This is especailly important if the text form of the URL is printed with the QR (recommended) Note the absence of ".html" in the link presented for user use. A mod_rewrite rule in .htaccess converts the URL by adding ".html" before processing. Developers still need the .html suffix so the server recognizes the file type. Rob Boudrie 2/24/2025
